Tink1717 2 #5 March 4, 2004 You mean the 713 more shifts (3 years, 6 months, 15 days) until blessed relief? They had a 5 alarm fire last night in an old ice company warehouse. They are actually still there (just one alarm worth of stuff though) trying to determine a cause. However, the structure is so far gone that it's gonna be a few days until they figure it out. In other news, Harford county had a two alarm house fire that killed one and burned another over 50%. We were quiet tonight. Everything happened around us. The biggest thing on this shift was an idiot janitor figured out how to burn up a dust mop in a dryer at a high school. So much excitement, so little time.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. Zenister 0 #9 March 4, 2004 nah...i'm in the typical Courtyard Marriot with lots of corporate tools (breakfast is really interesting.. all these pressed shirts and ties and then the 2 FE's with long hair and goatees in shorts and tshirts after our morning run... you'd think they'd realize our customers (mostly military) are far more impressed with our 2 mile time (we work with soldiers in the field, so we train to keep up with them as well) the relationship we build with the end users (soldiers) and actual experience vs how well their ties match each others but nooooooooo.... I guess thats why we keep getting better contracts and have higher salaries than some of the other government contractors i've worked with...one upper end exec (from another firm) actually choked when i outlined our salary structure and i was lowballing him....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
