velo90 0 #76 March 1, 2004 I got 2 jumps in on Saturday and 2 in on leap day It's was great fun swooping and trailing your foot in the snow. Afterwards you could look and see how far you had swooped. In the skydiving discussions forum I posted two pics from a jump on saturday. As you can see the weather was really crap. I found landing in the snow really difficult as everything was hazy and sort of white. No jumps for me now until next Monday But then at least the next jumps will be warm and from a hercules in Thailand
batbex 0 #77 March 1, 2004 Quote I did and faced a frozen visor, ice neadles in my eyes when I opened it to see and a nice layer of ice buildup on my arms and body whilst under canopy!! You should try waking up at 4am in those sort of weather conditions - in a tent, in a field, in the highlands. Oh and did I mention the swimming? well that was the next day - but brrrrr bloody bbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - on the plus side, no evidence of hypothermia, pneumonia or even frost bite yet just another UK dz.commer (am not a pw at all ) checking in

batbex 0 #80 March 1, 2004 We were re-creating the joys of our first road trip - now an annual occurence - the original trip was to Yosemite As for the swimming - we were clearly having a hardcore weekend, with the whole camping in sub-zero temperatures thing, happened to be on a beach, it was sunny... em - well it seemed logical at the time
