andybr6 0 #76 November 26, 2003 What and where are you studying? Your are gonna love London but you may not like the English Skydiving weather. I jump at Headcorn and have no experience of any other DZ's but i like it there and it is sooo easy to get there by Train from Charing Cross Station. ------------------------------------------------ "All men can fly, but sadly, only in one direction"
alanab 0 #77 November 26, 2003 studying graphic design at american intercontinental university...i've decided against bringing my rig. the risk of something happening to it is greater than my chance of skydiving there. so if the chance to jump presents itself while im over there, i will rent, only if the gear is good! Spike 0 #85 November 27, 2003 Hey Alana, room on your list for one more? Weather here is a "crisp" 5 deg C, clear blue skies and nil winds. Though the last couple of days have seen more rain than all summer. Next weekend I'm at the Headcorn Chrimbo party, week before I was at Hinton, week before that I was at Nethers. Its all good.A date for your diary. January 24th, is THE skydiving party of parties here in the UK. Its the BPA AGM held at Hinkley in the Midlands. We basically take over a huge hotel for two nights. Seminars during the day, if you can stay away from the bar. Posh frock dinner on the Saturday night and dancing till you drop. The bars don't close! More UK skydivers in one place than you'll ever see anywhere, anytime, except maybe the Nationals. So you dancin?
vt1977 0 #86 November 27, 2003 Alana, Colin is right the AGM is an absolute MUST! If you want to go to the posh dinner, I suggest you contact the BPA early to get your ticket! (You don't need a ticket for the rest of the AGM) Check out www.bpa.org.uk for contact details. Vicki

freeflir29 0 #97 November 27, 2003 QuoteLst Jan it was -40C on the ground in Edmonton, and -25C in montreal. Happy? That's why Canada doesn't need a "real" military. Just like Russia....any invaders would only stay for the 3 weeks of summer and then pack up and go home.
