turtlespeed 221 #1 February 27, 2004 Dinner for two - 1 32oz Porterhouse 1 Fresh Clove of Garlic (and a press) 1 Bottle of dessert wine 2 Idaho Russets(medium) 2 strips of good beppered bacon 6 tooth Picks Lemon Juice Garlic Salt Butter Fresh Cracked Pepper Chives Celery Salt Real Bacon Bits Colby Jack Cheese 1, filet the bone out of the porterhouse - You should now have a 16ozNY Strip and a 10ozFilet Mingon.(cost effective) 2, Start baking the potatos 3, Cook the bacon half way 4, simmer the green beans in the bacon grease add a few bacon bits for flavor 5, take 1 stick of butter and heat to boiling in a large skillet 6, add cracked pepper, 1/2 of a clove of garlic (pressed), and 1 1/2 cups of dessert wine and saute' the mushrooms until dinner is served, stirring occaisionally 7, rub steaks with plack pepper, a little garlic salt and a generous amount of lemon juice 8, in a sauce pan, put the other half of the galric clove(pressed) 1/2 stick of butter, cracked pepper and a touch of celery salt and set on the grill for a baste.(on the filet, wrap the outter edge with the 1/2 cooked bacon and secure with the tooth picks) 9, "Flash" sear the steak to help the juices stay in, and then turn the heat down on the grill to slow cook the surfaces and just barely warm the center, turning frequently, and basting before and after each turn. Serve with the shrooms on the side, baked potato, and the green beans DO NOT ALLOW A-1 or H57 to touch your master piece - DEATH to those that do!
