getting a little nit-picky arent we?

I was born and raised in rural Wyoming. Zoning laws arent that big of a deal there. Maybe I need to start giving a personal history when I post. Or maybe you can see the positives, and stop looking for the negatives? maybe?

The primary purpose of the Armed Forces is to prepare for and to prevail in combat should the need arise.

No SGT Marshall, as you can see, a thread that was meant to be positive will, by those who are determined to find something wrong with anything that anyone says, inevitably end up with its negatives.

I say turn it into a toxic swamp just to piss people off.

I love this country because of what it is and what it isn't. Many years ago I went to war because my country said so. At 19 I did not know enough to know if it was right or wrong. Today I feel proud that I went, not because people died but because I feel I may have helped.
This morning I drove to Perris and made a skydive with old friends, one celebrating his 25th. year in the sport. I came home and washed and detailed my Harley. I am now on the net with friends, most of which I have never met waiting for the brownies to bake.
I doesn't get any better than that. Not any where in the world.

Facts are just facts, neither positive or negative. Fact is that in most parts of the USA you cannot do what you like with your own land. Wishful thinking doesn't change the facts.

I love that if I purchase land for my residence the zoning laws will protect me from a hazardous waste facility built in my back yard.

or

If I don't like the zoning restrictions in my neighborhood, I can choose to move.

I have the freedom to choose where I want to live.

There's some great stuff here. Let's keep it going, not insist on dragging it down.

Others that I particularly liked, social and ethnic diversity....great thing about our country.
