BrainDed 0 #27 February 18, 2004 I can speak for the Navy, Marines and Army. All, have seen limited success w/ their buddy programs, and I think it is safe to assume that the AF would have one as well. But, as was stated b4, it is contingent on you being in the same area of specialty, both passing and being accepted to that area, passing the classes to go to the field in that area, and the chances of you being in the same division are limited once you get to your duty station. Air Force huh? That's cute. Ever think of joining the military though? Go Navy!
Casch 0 #28 February 18, 2004 I'm not worried about whether there is a buddy program or not, I was just curious. I know I won't have any problems making new friends. My main concern is preparing myself for basic mentally and physically

My main concern is preparing myself for basic mentally and physically Prepare to be bored and sleepy. In AF basic, we marched and went to inane classes where we learned about insignia of rank, the UCMJ (Catch 22), and many other useful and interesting things, marched some more to end up wait in endless lines for no apparent reason other than have a TI yell at you for some petty shit and, if it wasn't too hot or too cold outside, did some sorta punk ass PT. AF basic was a friggin' joke. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
