Indiana DZ fundraiser update

Recommended Posts

For those that haven't subscribed to the mailing list for updates, I am shamelessly and relentlessly reminding you that Indiana Skydiving Academy in Goshen, IN suffered the loss of all their skydiving equipment in a fire a few weeks ago -- and the fundraiser is fast approaching. For full details on the fire go to http://www.indianaskydivingacademy.com/fire.htm
Below are a few excerpts from updates I have received from Ward, the DZ manager through the update list from the DZ.
End me, start Ward ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A big thank you to all of you who have helped with this event or with the dropzone in general.
If you plan on donating any goods or services, or just auctioning off yourself off as a love slave please let me know as soon as possible and before March 3rd so I can get you or your items on the roster. If you would like to donate money you certainly can do so by going to www.paypal.com and sending it to paula@indianaskydivingacademy.com.
The event is coming together very nicely. We will have a catered dinner, a band to play after the auction and dinner, and all the spirits you can drink, and a few thousand dollars worth of skydiving and non-skydiving gear in addition to jump packages. Everyone is welcome to attend so please do so. To get all the info about the fundraiser go to the current events link on the webpage and the isa fire link on the site as well.
Also, we definately have a location. It will be in Elkhart at the Labor Union. I will send an email with directions as well as a map in our mailing to all our jumpers. (Edit from Wendy -- you know darn well by now that I'll send it along here) It seats 550 people and is a really nice place. Unfortunately hotels are not too close so you may want to think about sober drivers after the event that night. (Another edit from Wendy -- I have crash space available and live 20 mins from there) We have to be out of there by 2a.m. so plan accordingly.
Again, we thank you so much for all the help and support with this terrible turn of events, it is impossible to explain our gratitude with words alone.
