Yoshi 0 #1 February 17, 2004 Some asshole stole a kite (kite surfing trainer kite) and a book from my car! (ok so here goes my vent) Whoever this asshole was took those 2 items out of my jeep the other night. the book was a little blank book that I write in from time to time. its full of memories and ideas from skydiving to a begining of a book that I was writing abou looking at life from a different perspective. they left the cds, money, registration, insurance info..everything accept a kite and that book! I am so pissed right now.. I cant believe the tenacity of some people who take things that arent thiers. I jsut dont get it... why take the book? it has nothing to do with them..no monetary value... nothing.. it may seem trivial, but it really meant alot to me. I spent about 2.5 years writting in it to arive with my first 4 chapters somehwat complete and now it is all gone for shit.. my own dumbass didnt type any of it out, or save it anywhere else...just in that book. I am a very reserved person (for the most part) I hardly ever get angry or upset at things, but this is really pissing me off.. I jsut dont get people and why someone would take that stuff.. I dont even care about the kite..I just wish I had my writtings back.. sorry to vent, especially when people post on here for vibes abuot much more serious issues, but this really sucks. _________________________________________ this space for rent. I did put a nice big sign on my car jsut a few minutes ago saying : "If you stole a yellow and purple book from this car please return it, it means alot more to me than it could ever mean to someone else"...hell I dont even care if I have to pay to get it back..I jsut want it back. ahh well, who knows maybe Ill have a better writting style this time, or some more insight to add.. it jsut sucks that its a 2 year set back from where I was.. btw: fallrate..how have things been? I have been writing in books sort of like yours since i was 15, i have about 23 of them now just filled with memories and thoughts, photos and all that kind of thing, sort of like a diary i guess but less lame (i hope hehe). I can't imagine how heartbroken i'd be if anything happened to them. Not only is it years of work but it would be such an invasion of privacy to have someone read them I really hope some luck comes your way and the theives get what they deserve! mr2mk1g 10 #18 February 17, 2004 I can sympathise dude. Just before christmas some shit broke into my car and ripped the steering wheel clean off. Snapped the inch think steel rod. God knows how. They then riffled through the car without stealing anything and wandered off. They even handled the CD auto changer thats in the boot (I know cos it was moved) and didnt take it or the 10 CD's that were in it. Had the same thing happen 6 months before when some shit jammed a screwdriver behind the lockplate and got in (parked in a different area of town). They put the facia on the stereo from under the seat and smashed the ignition off. Evidently they couldnt break the steering lock so just left - again didn't steel anything. Hey, my bf has a Wrangler, which I assume is what you have. He had been ripped off one time too many, so he went out and got a super-fancy alarm system that has a beeper-like remote to warn him anytime his jeep is disturbed. Even with the top off, if someone so much as reaches in, the alarm activates. It's not annoyingly sensitive, though, so it doesn't go off unless the car is actually being messed with. weegegirl 2 #20 February 17, 2004 dude, that freakin sucks. i'm so sorry for you. god, i can totally relate to this one. when i was headed off to college freshmen year... i parked my full car outside my bro's apartment, ran in to say goodbye, stayed about 30 minutes, went back out to my car and the thing was GUTTED! they took everything... even photo albums and crap. guess they didn't have time to sort through it all, so they just took everything. took a long time to recover from that one. nothing i can say here, but damn. so sorry for you.
