Do Europeans have a death wish?

This thread is getting to be one of those tennis match type ones, watching the ball go from court to court...

Actually it seems to have died a death :(

So to collect all the comments together made in this thread I will describe my day.

Got a call on my cell phone asking for my excuse why I way not at the DZ at 10 am.
Replied, "See you in 2mins"

Jumped out of a plane 30 mins laters, no Gun toting idiots tried to shoot me out of the sky.

Jumped again with someone with less than 100 jumps, but with a license. They were wearing a frap hat :o

Someone else jumped with a full face helmet that appears to be blind most of the time even with out the helmet.

I was in one load, this is a cessna 182, only 4 jumpers, where ..
Jumper A had packed jumper B's rig
Jumper C had packed jumper A's rig
Jumper C was jumping borrowed equipment
Who the fuck was jumper D?

Guess what? We all lived B|

I was a good day , 6 jumps, beer at the end, and watched "Out of the Blue" with beamer and loud music. :)

it is enough with the soccer games

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its called FOOTBALL ok??? Footballs are round!!!!!

That is typical of the americans, they play but don't know what the game is called.
They have world events in baseball, but only americans take part. Why? Because its called rounders! :P

American "Football" is really rugby. That's why the Australians arn't there at the super bowl. And they would problaly lose the final....
to the Brits :o

As for the sport of showing tits on national TV, the Germans would win hands down :D

i mean come on, whats with all that padding?

I welcome you to come over here any time you like and play some ball with any NFL, collegiate, hell, high school players (don't wear any pads now) and see why they wear pads.B|;)

Never go to a DZ strip show.

It would be interesting to get some of the British university American Football teams to play aginst some American ones. I'd guess the Americans would win because they have the desire to go pro, whereas thats slightly uncommon over here. Of course, we've all seen the joke that is the USA Rugby team... :D:D:D

I'm thinking that we should just go ahead and start the newbies on lightly loaded X-braced canopies

After jumping a VX 99 I can see where you are coming from, such a nice well behaved canopy. Not nearly as dangerous as my Velocity 90 :S:P;)

No really, the VX 99 would be my canopy of choice for video :o Just need to get Gerd to sell it cheap ;)

Go cross braced as soon as you can :P

And since the X-braces really aren't loaded under 1.6/1 I'll recommend first time jumpers start off at 1.4/1 conservatively and hopefully have them comfortably up to the recommended loading of 1.6/1 by the time they are on their own off student status! After this accelerated training we should be able to field world class canopy pilots by 200-300 jumps for the circuit! Of course we'll have a boat load of new ambitious students waiting to fill the spots lost through attrition, injury and possibly death.

Sounds to me like you should start yourself a school;) Make sure they sign the waiver!

It seems that the most difficult customers that I get when it comes to canopy size happen to be either European or Japanese. They always want the smallest canopy, the smallest reserve.

"How many jumps to you have?"

"150"

"What size canopy are you looking at?"

"107"

"Why?"

"The canopy I have now doesn't scare me enough."

All the time! Sad if you ask me.

"107" Xaos 27 cell!

"Why a 27 cell?"

"The 21 cell I have now doesn't scare me enough."
