Last year, we went to the Chicago Auto Show and a cool restaurant (it was my first BYOB restaurant. Those are the best things EVER!) This year, we're spending his gift from work at a fancy shmancy restaurant and releasing his inner-geek and my inner-"ooh something shiny"-self and going geocaching. It'll be cold, but we'll get to walk around trying to solve clues, and he gets to play with his geek toy. Has anybody done this before? We're also going to drink the last of my Cava....mmm....Cava. I saw some BAD ASS fliers do it in the tunnel last year! Valentine's Day is my 1 year anniversary of my first AFF jump so I'm hanging close to the place it all started and maybe I'll even get drunk (I'm always designated ). I had just started working as an attorney, and I went out for a NICE dinner with one of my best friends, who had just filed for divorce. I was her "butler of honor" at her wedding. We were both single. So we had a nice dinner at Windows (a restaurant on top of a building in Downtown L.A.) and had some good alcohol. Abotu an hour later, my buddy Johan (who was just finalizing his divorce) came up to join us. It was a nice night of single folks just enjoying good company. Of course, this year is radically different. I got me a good lady, carrying our baby, and we'll be in the Sierra's with her best friend and her husband. Seeing as how V-Day is on the last day of his ridiculously long week, I'll suprise him with the gift he's been wanting since last year some time and he'll go to bed very shortly thereafter until right before he has to be at work.
