ZoneRat 0 #15 February 13, 2004 I have a theory about purple jumpsuits. I know purple used to be the color of royalty at one time, but these days I think people tend to equate purple with "wacky". Red may mean hot, or fire, or passion or danger. Blue emotes other things. But purple is branded as the wackiest of colors. And people enjoy the idea of skydiving being a wacky thing to do. So they kinda go together in folks minds sometimes. Hence the propensity of purple jumpsuits. And, for that matter, more power to 'em. The DZ's a great place to express your individual wackiness. I'm not against purple gear per se, but I think it's interesting that people sometimes choose colors for a jumpsuit they'd never wear in regular life. Anyway.
