Size Matters....at Perris!

Recommended Posts

Perris had a bit in their latest Parachutist ad saying to check for more information on the status of the jet on their website, I couldn't find anything at all.[:/]

But they are saying that it will be available for some events at Perris and Boogies later this year.

So, just how close are they to getting their engines (earlier threads mentioned engine work required?) or whatever other systems troubles fixed? Many of us would like to know more details about the plane, and its condition.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

How long is that jump run gonna be!!!!!!!

I'm figuring Jump run will be east to west!
Starting over the town of Hemet and ending over Elsinore

That way you're sure to land on a drop zone!B|

Sweet! How long will that be there for?

And I thought you were talking about the bigway camp coming up!

The DC9, owned by Perris, plans on making the circuit when it's up and running. So....get it while it's HOT if you want to jump over the Wind Tunnel! :)
Perhaps it will be available for the WFFC? The engines are in the hanger and look very sweet up close! Ben and Pat are working hard on getting everything in line.

What kind of modifications does this DC9 have/going to have? The only climb rate that i could find listed on the DC-9 was around 3000FPM.

only 60 jumpers? i wonder why.... i did a quick google on it, and depending on the series, a dc-9 can haul 90 -139 passengers. i would think that with no seats, no baggage and no cargo and a lighter load of fuel than a normal passenger jet they could haul more jumpers than regular passengers.

I think, but am not sure, that I read somewhere about them leaving a majority of the seats in, and only removing the rear ones by the exit.

This means the plane would still be functional, and seatbelts would not be an issue.

last I heard they were ripping out all of standard and leaving in First class for traveling. There may be ecconomic reasons why they're going for 60. I remember orriginally it was touted as 100 - 50 per pass. Perhaps they did some sums and figured that it would be cheaper to do 60 in one pass ?

Maybe there is some regulation we don't know about that they're working round.

But now I'm guessing
