GiaKrembs 0 #2 February 9, 2004 When are you arriving into LAX? Plenty of Skydivers that live near there, someone may be able to help you out. g Raddest ho this side of Jersey #1 - rest in peace brother Beth lost her cherry and I missed it .... you want access to it, but you don't want to break it. freeflir29 0 #3 February 9, 2004 There's really not much of a cheap way to do it unless someone helps you out. While not cheap......I found that knowing someone with a private plane at Hawthorne field is the absolute BEST way to go. Only takes about 30 minutes to fly out to Perris. skydivejersey 0 #4 February 9, 2004 That's good to know... anyone that's going from LA would be more than welcome to a few jump tickets for their trouble.....bribe bribe... FF29 - Do you know how much the flying comes in at? There are 2 of us. Presume we're paying for an hour's air time.
freeflir29 0 #5 February 9, 2004 Unless you are a pilot that is experienced in SoCal flying I'd say hiring one would be PROHIBITIVELY expensive. Even if you are a pilot I wouldn't want to do it unless you are familiar with the area. As you can guess.....there's a BIT of traffic around there. Off the top of my head I'd guess $300-$500 for the trip since the Hobbs time has to be close to an hour each way. I was lucky.....I hadn't seen my sister in several years and her boyfriend just happens to keep his plane in the area. He's a weekend Air Force pilot so his skills with all that radio work that must be done in SoCal are up to par.
