Antithesis 0 #76 February 6, 2004 Quote Isn't it neat-o how the same people shoving their views down your thoat in this thread would be ALL OVER a Christian if it was the Christian shoving his/her views on them. Doubt that, I would be one of the first to flame one of those christians for irritating me with their boring, redundant, waste of bandwith threads. I can respect sdgregory for his views and how he chooses to live.. then again, I thought that Janet and justins dance leading up to the the unveiling was more sexual than the little bit of nudity that followed.. Nothing wrong with changing the channel or making the better of the situation to have one of those family talks. Skyrad 0 #78 February 6, 2004 'So tell me once again, what is it thats free in this country..?? ' One thing I've learnt from going to America is the 'In the land of the free you have to pay for everything' I agree with you ( and I'm from Europe). What I found offensive about this stupidly tasteless stunt was not seeing a breast but the behaviour and the way that idiot ripped off the covering. It was just another sick gimmick showing the very worst of what the rest of the world sees as American culture. People have been getting their knickers in a knot about Kidd Rock wearing what appeared to be an American flag but as far as I'm concerned this does more to damage you nations image in the eyes of the world and is truely unpatriotic. In Europe we mostly get to see the worst of American culture. There is so many good aspects to American culture but we don't really get to see them over here, this kind of sick stunt does a massive diservice to decent Americans. I'm glad there was a fine, just a pity it was so small. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Malfunction 0 #80 February 6, 2004 Maybe I am in the minority, but I too took offence to Janet's performance, after a couple seconds of trying to figure out what I just saw. Then to hear the excuse of "Wardrobe Malfunction" was equally appalling. edited: because I felt rewording was needed. I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it. - Voltaire

I thought the way the National Anthem was sung ("wailed" is a better description) was far more tasteless.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Malfunction 0 #82 February 6, 2004 yeah, but the (pardon the pun) cover up for Janet was just too much. I had a wardrobe malfunction once, and got charged for indescent exposure. The wall looked like a urinal to me!!! PhillyKev 0 #83 February 6, 2004 That was probably one of the more tasteful and true to the original versions I've seen in a long time. I've seen much worse warbling than that.

I'd like to see it sung by the local high school choir, just as it was written. I hate it when these minor celebrities feel they have to put their own imprint on it....
