Some things that I have learned here in Iraq.

Recommended Posts

Out fucking standing! I thought I was the only one who kept lists like that. I have one from every place I have been starting with the Panama Invasion. The places change but the shit pretty much stays the same. I still smile every time I see water coming out of the faucet or a real sit down toliet. It's the little things that make the biggest impact.

I was doing some training at a National Guard Armory the other day. There was a poster on the wall that said something about realizing that sinks and chairs were comforts of home and a Kevlar takes the place of these items in the field. Ahhhhhh memories.......

Josh,
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for giving up time with your son.
Thank you for going through everything you are going through for us.
Thank you for putting your life on the line for us.

The more things change, the more they remain the same. Learned many of the same things that you learned about 13 years ago, the first time around, over there. Appears things haven't changed much in 13 years. Godspeed on a safe journey back home!

maybe I am reading too deep but I think he meant that God is none of the above, since if he was strictly Muslim, Christian, Hebrew etc, then

everything else you had to say is just another day in the hood.

Reading your post took me back 30 years when I was in Vietnam. Almost all, I can relate to except maybe the computers and video games. Please know that we here are pulling for all of you over there. I was not in favor of going to Iraq, but I will always support everyone there with all my strength.
