meatmissile 0 #1 February 3, 2004 Deuce's "Are you real?" thread made me think. You can't just go by how many others have met a person. I live in South Africa, and I have met but a handful of other DZ.com users. I guess there are no more than 500 active skydivers in the whole of South Africa, and there are probably even less in Namibia, where Skystorm lives. The same goes for Finland and places like that, as well as the CIS, where most skydivers post on Russian language boards. PS, please take the way I set up this poll with a pinch of salt. In other words, don't lose your sense of humor! PPS, I already thought of quite a few places I left out. Please feel free to check the last box if you live in one of those, and let your boiling blood of honor thus be cooled by calling me an asshat. -- ZZZzzzz.... Tonto 1 #6 February 3, 2004 Hey. That poll got me thinking too. I did put Erno up in my house for a while though, and I knew people who went to the DZ.com boogie... But I guess I don't exist as anything other than one of those 500 jumpers in South Africa... tIt's the year of the Pig.

meatmissile 0 #8 February 3, 2004 Correct, I meant Iceland, I think . The USA is definitely in North America. I actually did Canada an injustice by grouping them with the cold northern places, thus leaving the USA and Mexico in North America. To me it seemed like a logical division . -- ZZZzzzz.... meatmissile 0 #12 February 3, 2004 Sky, you are remarkably well informed, and absolutely right (as far as I can tell). What I do know is that the USA is not a continent Unstable: Kansas is part of the USA, which is part of North America . And I also live about that far from the nearest parrafin burner DZ. -- ZZZzzzz....
mr2mk1g 10 #13 February 3, 2004 Canada is in North America - its the continent its on. Finland may or may not be in Europe - it depends on the definition you use. Geographically Europe is everything West of the Ural mountains in Russia (Yes its in Europe). Politically (the EU) it is a select group of countries who have signed up (No its not in Europe).
