Given the bipolar environs of the time and the 400 some odd days the Iranians, with whom Hussein was at war at the time, held our embassy personnel prisoner I think Reagan made a decent move. Barak offered Terrorist in Chief Arafat a palestinian state with almost everything he'd asked for aside from the total elimination of the state of Israel. Given the fact that there has NEVER been a palestinian state, I find Mr. Barak's offer most generous. Arafat turned him down outright. With regards to Arafat being Terrorist in Chief, given his involvement in the Israeli Olympic Murders, the assassination of the US Charge d'Affairs and Ambassador to Sudan, his association with Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade, Fatah, his televised call for jihad, the many serendipitous Hamas bombings that occur when he doesn't get his way in 'negotiations', and the hate rhetoric spewing out of Ramallah on any given evening, I really find it odd that anyone could question such a sobriquet. I find it appropriate. If you don't in light of the aforementioned, I suggest you tell me why you think such a title INAPPROPRIATE for Mr. Arafat. World domination? Gimme a break. Helped the DoE improve its nuclear warhead materials, thus helping to win the cold war. 3. Didn't send anyone off to war under false pretenses. I helped design components for SDI.
