You know that saying "If I didn't have bad luck..."

Recommended Posts

I just got my car back after 2 weeks without it, following getting rear ended at my work on the 15th.

Today I'm on I-95 going to work (I work at a hospital), and its bumper to bumper traffic. I get rear ended by an old man who's going to the hospital to visit his wife. I have never had more than 1 traffic ticket, never been in an accident and now I get two in the span of 3 weeks - I don't do this to myself! I must have a big bullseye on my car! I can't tell the difference in damage to my car from the last accident (only had the car for 3 days, not enough time to repair).

I'm not making the same mistake twice, doing everything by the book this time... cause now I'm hurt. My back, neck, shoulders...

If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have none at all...

good that it was rear-ended and not caused by you, but some insurance companies don't care if it was in no way your fault or not, they may jack your rates up

hope your injuries are not too serious

OMG, you poor thing :( I just can't believe this has happened to you. Take some rest, see a doctor, and let that husband of yours take care of you. Heck, it's too cold there to go outside to work anyway, so stay home and rest.
Big hugs to you,

It's illegal for them to increase your rate for an accident that is deemed another parties fault, or even for a no-fault. At least in PA.

That's true for the most part. However, a high frequency of claims (even not at fault ones) can have you placed in a new risk group affecting your premiums.

Thanks for the vibes and good thoughts everyone.

Things move quickly...

Working at a hospital has its good sides - I was able to slip in through the back door to the ER and at least documented everything.

I've got a lawyer as of 15 min. ago - he's going to handle everything. I've got an autobody place and a chriopractor as of 15 min. ago too.

I hurt now - they say I'll really hurt tomorrow... Just hope it doesn't stop me from starting AFF.
