freeflir29 0 #1 January 31, 2004 Never heard of them until Wingnut's Eloy video. I liked the song so much I bought the CD. Damn good music for the more mellow days in life. I also picked up an OLD Chemical Brothers CD with some nice mixes on it. Anyway.....I'm guessing OAR is from Mid Ohio. Who knows more?
PhreeZone 20 #2 January 31, 2004 OAR has been around for about 3-4 years but they spent the holidays on the "Clearchannel" Xmas tour of cities so expect to hear nothing but them this summer They are a really great band that used to play at OU ALL the time. Kinda Dave Matthews Band esk... generally a frat type band, but they are good.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

WarrenScott 0 #7 January 31, 2004 Yep, OAR toured the HELL out of Columbus, Ohio and Ohio University. Definately a 'college' sound aka Dave Matthews, but with funnier more casual lyrics. Check out theie song "Crazy Game of Poker" and "City on Down", really good quality stuff. Like most bands, the live showa are MUCH better than the CD's, they bring alot of energy when they play a show.

Paige 0 #13 January 31, 2004 OAR played Palmer Fest one year at OU. They played in someones back yard. It was an awesome show. I think the show was my freshman year. Since then they have picked up in popularity and played some bars in Athens. The crowds were sparce and the music was marginal I was hopin they would rock it out like they did four years ago. Def check out their website for their concerts. You can't compare any of their cd's to them live. Yes they are from maryland and went to college in Ohio.
