500th!!!!! Dead Americans, That Is. . .

Recommended Posts

Yeah, those 500 dead American soldiers sure is a boring subject, isn't it Jim.

Oh please. If the original post had made the least attempt to show some respect for the fallen.... but it didn't. It did the opposite, IMO. It was disrespectful and arrogant.

Well, gee, Tuna. I didn't get involved with this thread for the sole purpose of arguing. I got into it because I was annoyed at the direction it was going. And gee again, Tuna. You can't claim you've been the king of meaningful threads, eh?

It flat out pisses me off that someone could claim that our soldiers have given their lives but are too stupid to know why. The majority of young men and women who have died in the past months are those that joined the service in the last 2 years. They know why they joined. They knew the risks. Anyone who claims otherswise, IMO, is just trying to be a dick.

too bad we can't send liberals to war; it's a catch 22; they're all pussies but, they're the most expendable.

Most of the people I served with were liberals. I like Robert Heinlein's approach. Let's make people serve a stint before they're allowed to vote. That'll fix a few problems.

Please define most. I serve with an entire team of conservatives. I would say that the majority of people in the military are conservatives.
The primary purpose of the Armed Forces is to prepare for and to prevail in combat should the need arise.

Most as in well over half. I'm describing the people that I served with, I can't speak for anyone else. We probably had vastly different jobs and worked with different kinds of people. I don't know the political demographics for eveyone in the military and I hope I didn't appear to saying that I did.

...having your neighbours kids sent to their death in a country where they don't even know what they are fighting for?

You really think our service members are that stupid? Another Lee Greenwood fan without a clue?

Iflyme has stated in the past that Americans live in the dark under "tightly controlled" news media, as if we didn't have access to the internet or the news organizations of other countries.

Maybe he really does fall for the idea that our soldiers are idiots too . . .

Yeah like John Kerry or Wes Clark, awarded purple hearts, those damn liberal pussies! Get serious man, I'm not just talking about Bush here but the only man in the hawkish admistration who deserves our appreciation is colin powell, and he's the most pacifist of them all. Where were the rest of those guys during the wars of the 20th century? Rumsfeld, Cheney, Condi, I can guarantee you they weren't off fighting for your freedom.

Never go to a DZ strip show.

Bad recommendation.
Watching FOX is more likely to lead to erroneous opinions, including about the war in Iraq.

NO connection between Al Quada and Iraq

maybe not connected....but that isnt to say that Iraq didnt pose a threat to other nations.

And N. Korea doesn't?

What criterion do you recommend for choosing countries to invade out of the dozens that pose a threat to others?

Much of the world thinks the USA poses a threat to other nations.

then you say one thing and do another? if you say you want to fight Iraqe becours they are apart or al quada, but they anit, then you might understand why people are upset.. just say the truth first time, that would have won the war in UN,and im even sure that more cuntryes would have helped,Sadam were a bad guy, lucky he´s off now,but the war were started in a wrong way..[:/]

Brave Brave Sir Robin. I see you're at it again with your Bush attack posts. Of what lies dost though speak, Brave Brave Sir Robin?

Try these. There are more.

I guess it doesn't matter to you that GWB started a foreign war under false pretenses, expanded the federal bureaucracy more than any recent president, and turned a budget surplus into a record deficit. Hardly a good record for a supposed "Republican".
