caz 0 #2 January 27, 2004 Are you talking about your work machine? As if so, talking from an IT dept perspective, they'll whup your arse if they find Kazaa software on your machine. Leaves it way open to all kinds of nasty viruses. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
Zeemax 0 #3 January 27, 2004 very true, but i'm a creative... all our PC's are filled with shit and crap we're not meant to have. mr2mk1g 10 #4 January 27, 2004 Yeah - I hope your at home on this one. Also if you're gonna use kazaa make sure you're on Kazaa K++ as it offers significant protection against arseholes and gives much much better DL speeds. I would recomend bit-torrent though if you are trying to DL anything big and want it fast with no hassles. As for connecting... it really ought to have connected automatically assuming your connected to the net.... where did you get the progam from ?
caz 0 #5 January 27, 2004 even so, Kazaa is generally still a big no-no on work networks. Most companies ban most kinds of filesharing software from working on their networks as it can provide an open back door security wise for those nasty little hackers out there. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
mr2mk1g 10 #6 January 27, 2004 The employer also picks up the buck legally as 99% of the time you're breaking copyright. Home use thats your choice () but in work its your bosses as its his neck on the block. Its very possible that your network security is stopping kazaa from connecting and opening itself up to attack. Look into bit torrent - you may have more luck.

feuergnom 29 #8 January 27, 2004 Quoteis it called limewire if you got limewire it's not kazaa - limewire's the client for mac's and it sucks for music. just great if you want warez & cracks for macs. otherwise it's useless. get kazaa k++ or soulseek or bit torrentThe universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver #
n2skdvn 0 #9 January 27, 2004 I'd go with bit torrent Kazaa has so many viruses and trojans in it (80% on a news article i read) so download at your own risk.if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN my site
freeflydrew 0 #10 January 27, 2004 limewire is for windows also... definitely not as populated as kazaa.

SublimeBreeze 0 #12 January 28, 2004 Please if your going to use any type of file transfer program and it is kazaa use Kazaa Lite K++ It is the smaller and better version. It deosn't have the spyware and also has some interesting ip blocking software just incase teh riaa wants to watch what your doing. Limewire sucks, if your going to use a p2p file sharing program use kazaa lite. I'll getcha link in a second. Peace Sean Sean Sean In Thailand
feuergnom 29 #13 January 28, 2004 didn't know it's also available for pc's. was the only working one for macs and i never really liked it - guess the big time for filesharing is over The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver #
chuteless 1 #14 January 28, 2004 I am not saying it will happen to everybody, but I had downloaded a large amount of music from Kazaa, and something went wrong with my computer. I took it to the technician I bought it from, and he said Kazaa actually will stiock a virus into some downloading. I had to have my computer reset and totally cleaned out.Lost all my music before I could get it on CDs Hope thats not yourproblem, but I am leary of Kazaa after that.
