lawrocket 3 #1 January 27, 2004 Yesterday was my birthday. The big 31. Every year before, I've always managed to do something good on my birthday. Drink fest in college. Trip to Palm Springs or Santa Barbara. Last year was a 48 hour party (that turned out badly when my beloved Raiders got schooled in the Super Bowl). This year I worked till 5:00 (I took off way earlier than usual - birthday, you know) and went grocery shopping. With those groceries, my lady prepared a wonderful soup, and we sat down and watched television. The biggest reward? Being in bed by 9:30. I've never thought a quiet night with one person and goign to bed early would be a perfect birthday. Turns out, it was probably my favorite birthday ever. Does it mean that I am getting old if I don't want to get messed up and party? My wife is hotter than your wife.
Casie 0 #2 January 27, 2004 No, not at all. You're not getting old, just enjoying who you're with BTW, Happy Birthday!~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts!
jtval 0 #3 January 27, 2004 OLD is a state of mind....ARE YOU OLD??? I dont think that the quite night in is a sign of old age. maybe maturity. It takes a mature person to be able to chill out at a time when most people wanna party..... but you know that same mature person can show the young folk a thing or two through out the rest of the year!My photos My Videos

AggieDave 6 #6 January 27, 2004 Happy birthday you dirty old bastard! Hell, I'm 23 and I *feel* old...atleast my body is telling me that, creaking and popping, aching...agghh. I've been going to bed before midnight a lot in the past year and even going to bed around 10pm quite a bit too. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." StearmanR985 0 #9 January 27, 2004 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I am 34. I enjoy going to my buds house for cards and a party fest from time to time. But, some of my best evenings are spent at home relaxing with my wife and daughter in front of the fire place. Oh yeah, I don't feel old one bit either. I just like different things than when I was 25.
caress 0 #10 January 27, 2004 No Lawrocket, your not getting old, it is obvious to me that it isn't where you are, it is who you are with that makes your b-day good -Caress I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.
ACMESkydiver 0 #11 January 27, 2004 Watch what yer calling 'old' there, Lawrocket! My 30th birthday this past September was by far my toughest...but I made it, and I realized that I'm a wife, then a mommy, then a business partner, then a skydiver and party girl. And the best part about that is I LOVE it that way! Personally, I think people party until they find true happiness...then that scene holds less for them (that's just my opinion and observation though!). So a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Lawrocket! Sounds like you've found nirvana with your lady and a comfy bed. Nuthin' wrong with that!~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Seriously, Jerry, I have much respect and admiration for you. You are probably just in love and fulfilled with yourself and with your life. I am so very, very happy for you. Thank you for being a good example of what contentment should be. Happy belated birthday, my friend.

freeflygoddess 0 #17 January 28, 2004 Happy Birthday! There is nothing better in life than to realize that the person you are with is so much better than a million parties and billions of kegs and they are all yours and they feel the same about you. sdgregory 0 #21 January 28, 2004 I am so glad I am not the only one. I was wild in my 20's and now at 32.5 I find that I just want to be home with my wife and kids. When I hit double 3 in May I plan on coming home and relaxing, maybe read a little, lay my head in my wife's lap and doze. Maybe play some Mario Kart Double Dash with the kids. No presents, no friends, no going anywhere. Same as last year. I do not think we are getting old, I just think our priorities have changed. That, and do we really want to spend the last few hours of our birthdays either puking over porcelain or being bailed out of jail for pissing in public (or having sex in public - don't ask). Guest #22 January 28, 2004 Shite, just wait til you're 40 and see how little you want to celebrate, especially after your co-workers have hung black balloons around your desk, and you get "over the hill" e-cards from friends and relatives.... mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
