Caught two mint waves hung out and watched pelicans glide waves and blah blah blah... go to paddle in and the tide is mad high smacking the cliff and spraying 30-40 feet in the air and I'm timing the swells for better part of two hours to get out.... Finally give up and paddle towards the alternate out a couple five hundred yards away and had taken my leash off at which point rouge wave cracks me and I lose my board which travels a couple hundred yards towards shore (rocks) washes up on em and I'm swimmin for me board, duckin waves and trying not to get cracked into any of these big rocks (mondo) so I'm getting pretty tired pretty quick because I didn't sleep last night and three-ten minutes shy of drowning (wave depending) I swim out towards some bro kind enough to paddle in a bit (from way out) and save my happy ass.... hang out on his board for a rest.. Make the swim into the rocks body surfing some waves and ducking others. Find my board, see that it is 40 percent fucked and pick it up and scury towards the rope, get up the cliff and dropped it off at the shapers shop. Who's going to be hot that I damaged the best looking surfboard in San DIego... good thing is I didn't drown, nor did I get broken bones from the bigguns hittin cliffs. So I can put on my dancing shoes tonight and forget about the 2-250 bucks it's going to set me back to get this thing repaired. I hope the color matching works out because that board was truly unique. ohh well.... que cerra cerra..... kill for a beer.
