San Fran Bay Area

Recommended Posts

I live south of San Fran about 30 minutes...

But I gots to warn you, California sucks pretty bad. Yeah when you visit you think sweet! This place rocks... But sadly the truth comes out when you actually move here.

California sucks, don't move here!!!

Skydivers are welcome though:)

I am actually going to be in Concord for business. We fly in on Monday and fly out on Friday. A couple places we want to check out is Naple Valley, Alcatraz and Golden Gate. Anything else in close proximity to Concord that is worth interest?

I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it.

Seriously, the SF Bay Area is great! Now Concord? It's suburbia. You may as well be in any suburb anywhere in the country. (Um, no offense intended to anyone from Concord...)

Alcatraz is easy to do, but it's very touristy. They offer night tours, which are a bit more comprehensive than the day tours. It's a good idea to get your Alcatraz tickets in advance, since they sell out quickly, even at this time of year.

If you do a tour of Alcatraz, you'll also see the GG Bridge on the ferry ride, but I'd highly recommend walking across the bridge. It feels great, and you'll get great pictures.

A word or warning: Don't plan on getting out of Concord without driving (although they do have a BART station), and don't plan on parking without paying once in SF.

I hope you enjoy your trip! :)

Why do you say that? I was planning on using BART once I hit SF...

Once you hit SF, great! You just might not even be able to get to the BART station in Concord without driving. :S Of course, the Concord BART station has parking. My bad. I didn't mean to scare you. :) Definitely use BART! It's a great way to get around. :)
Although the fares just went up again. >:(

in case you're wondering, Broadway & Columbus is in North Beach, home to a lot of strip clubs

cool... but this is a business trip... i don't think the company would be willing to pick up a bill for a lapdance!

Thats okay Jarcie, the guys at hollister would be more than happy to accompany you with a free lapdance I am sure. Well it will just cost you a couple of beers and a shot or two of patron;)

Malfunction, in case you're wondering, Broadway & Columbus is in North Beach, home to a lot of strip clubs.

There are a lot of other things to see in North Beach, too. I lived there for 3 years, and the neighborhood is pretty cool.

Hey! I lived in North Beach for 4 years. Where did you live? I used to bartend at the Grant and Green. Used to hang at the North End....

PM me.
