Not having sex helps you loose weight?

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't say there is a wrong way to have sex, however there is cases where it is a waste of time. It would have been better for all involved to just "go off" into a napkin, it would have been less messy, and more intense. I think sex burns calories I am a total believer in that . I think if you stop having sex, because your mate left, you have more free time to do the things you want to do-thus losing weight. I just call it how I see it!-Caress
I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being
right.

Yeah, I gotta agree.

I've never been fat, but I have gone without sex for a while (i'd imagine many of us have due to circumstances beyond our control).

But I'd rather have lots of sex and be fat, than not have sex and be skinny. Sex just rocks and it keeps on gettin betta!!!

Your testosterone levels decrease when you're not having sex, so you're sure to loose some muscle mass. That'll definately show up on the scale, although I'm more then sure that muscle probably isn't the weight you wanted to loose.

When you are constantly "blowing your load" (if you will), then you are constantly depleeting your body of testosterone. If you store up testosterone, it might help you exercise better, and thus lose more weight...but in reality (as far as I know), sex and weight loss have no distinct corelation.

(If anything, having sex helps you lose weight 'cause it's actually pretty good exercise....that is unless you're just laying on the bottom the whole time. :P).

I have been wondering about this myself, I think testosterone can either be used for sex or for anabolic effects (losing weight and building muscle)

Ive noticed that my sex drive is being depleted after working out, ie if I work out a lot which I do then I have a lack of sex drive, but if I dont work out for a while it comes back.

So it seems like testosterone can be used for one thing or another. I have a sports doctor, according to him sex releases testosterone but Im pretty skeptical about that.

There is also the thing about DHT (dihydrotestosterone) which is what happens when testosterone hydrolyzes and binds to prostate receptors, dont quote me on it but I thing high DHT increases sex drive.
