AntiPinkChrissy 0 #1 January 15, 2004 Is making coffee hard? I mean because everytime I walk into the breakroom at my office there is no coffee. I don't even drink coffee that much, just on those days that I NEED it. Like those days of long meetings and training sessions. It never fails though that the guy in front of me fills up his BIG mug, takes the last of the coffee and walks away carefree and just leaves the dirty sludge in the bottom. Of course I make more, but if I walk away from that brewing pot, I know that I am SOL. I guess I should invest in one of those coffee makers that I can put at my desk and brew single cups. aahwhaaa...guess I am done with my whining for the morning. Casie 0 #3 January 15, 2004 LOL, from the thread title, I seriously was beginning to think I wasn't alone. I have no clue how to make coffee, probably cause I don't drink it & never have. I'm sure it's pretty easy/self explanatory, but never attempted to. Sorry, you're having such a crummy day.....................sendin **VIBES** your way!~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts! AntiPinkChrissy 0 #4 January 15, 2004 awww...thanks for the vibes!! Actually the only coffee I know how to *make* is the kind that is prepackaged and you just dump it into a filter. I never make it at home. I don't know how much to measure out, if I want some at home I just steal some out of the pot of coffee my boyfriend makes ~La La Gang Member #2~

caress 0 #7 January 15, 2004 No making coffee is not hard at all. We had to appoint someone coffee moniter at work so that problem was solved. My boss also invested in a new coffee pot that brews like 2 pots at a time. I personally got an expresso machine, I know how to use it, bring in my 4 shots all dr'd up, and I don't do reg. coffee anymore.I am sorry that the people that you work with are that careless. If I was there, I'd brew a freshy just for you.-Caress I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.
Amanda965 0 #8 January 15, 2004 I dont think that coffee making is hard, but I have seen people at my work screw it up so many times! Burn it, get grinds in it, too weak or strong- whatever! You should make a dummy sign on the machine at your work with a "how to make a new pot when you take the lsat cup!" Maybe some people will get a clue!!Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

jlmiracle 7 #15 January 15, 2004 Its a very common problem in every office. Not only do they not make coffee, they can't turn the burner off before they put that empty or near empty pot back on. And to answer your question, No it should not take a mental giant to make a pot of coffee. JudyBe kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. weegegirl 2 #16 January 15, 2004 Chrissy, that sucks! on my second day at my new job, i tried to make coffee.... you know, i used to work at coffee shops for like five years!... but i managed to put instant coffee in the filter instead of "drip" stuff or whatever. it made mud. my boss thought it was the funniest thing in the world and gave me an impromptu class on "coffee making 101." gee, i felt like an ass! hey, if it's the same dude emptying the pot each time, you should play a prank on him and put something in the coffee. -liz

It is probably people coming from different floors that steal it too. I know they come and snag our hot cocoa and paper towel. ~La La Gang Member #2~
