I am sure that I am not the only woman who feels that being with someone for their money would not be as fulfilling as being with someone for love. It's nice that you have principles, and stick to them. I think it'd be a nicer world all around if everyone had such principles, unfortunately it's just not so. I used to work with a secretary who was also a model, who used to talk about going to nightclubs in London and getting 55 year old men to buy her expensive champagne (she was 21). From her viewpoint, she deserved it because "men are only good for one thing - money". Sad to be so jaded at that age. (I'm not implying that Tanja or any other model is like this)....Blair. dove 0 #82 December 19, 2003 QuoteI wonder how many women have gone to a resort with a guy they didn't like? Or date a boring guy with a porsche? I dumped a very rich doctor last year BECAUSE he wanted to spend so much money on me. He picked me up for our first date in his convertible Jag, which I thought was rather gaudy and trying too hard, and then kept trying to buy me expensive shit all the time. He didn't realize that I'd rather go out and enjoy a gorgeous sunset over drinks or just enjoy his company than have him try to buy my love with extravant gifts. We actually had a fight one day when I lost my sunglasses (only temporarily - misplaced is more like it ) and he wouldn't go out to dinner until I let him buy me a several hundred dollar replacement. What a freak! Money is nice for a sense of well being, but it can't buy love or happiness. Fall in dove.

Zenister 0 #84 December 19, 2003 this discussion always quickly becomes about money, but most people fail to see that it is far more than that.. everything is an economic transaction, you trade (give if you like, but you still get a since of well being or self satisfaction in return) something for something else. In essesence 'selling yourself' the currency and quanities involved are entirely up to you, tangible, intangible valuable to the rest or no, but you are still involved in a transaction at some level the only issue is when you are being judged by others on a standard that is ultimately personal, no one can decide what you are 'worth' and what is 'good enough' for you but yourself.____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. coconutmonkey 0 #85 December 19, 2003 Everything coming back to money is the precise reason for girls to go out with skydivers. Ya know from the start, no matter what we do, we're all broke cause we jump too much. DOn't expect fancy gifts (unless you like a canopy over diamonds), fancy resturants (unless Aviators Bar & Grill starts havin a dress code), don't expect a fancy convertable at sunset (but a kisspass on the sunset load might be in order). Such as we are, such as we'll ever be. EFS!Hearts & Minds 2 to the Heart- 1 to the Mind- Home of the Coconut Lounge, Spa, & Artillery Range

Vallerina 2 #88 December 19, 2003 QuoteMoney is nice, but sound slike he defined his worth by it.... Sounds pretty shallow. Yes, that's why I define my worth based on my accomplishments at work, experiences I've had, how I've helped others, how many beers I can drink, and how much I've saved with my Extracare Card at CVS. My thoughts....I would feel degraded if I purposely turned on a sexual offender (even if I didn't know he was one), creepy man, etc and he masterbated while thinking of me. And, Dove...haha! That's funny! I haven't had anything that extreme, but it's funny when guys at a bar will try to impress me with their money. I usually tell them that no thanks, I don't need their money. I have my own. It's so sad when all a guy can offer me is something that I already have. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

If you are offering me a beer for my left hand, and I don't already have a beer for the left hand (my primary beer hand is the right hand), I would not turn it down (well, I'd have to make sure that it's either still closed or have the bartender hand it to me...who knows what you'd put in there if I wasn't looking!)There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

jumpinjackflash 0 #94 December 20, 2003 C, told you you were more than the average girl... cool when your judgement "nails it" isn't it. you are correct, money is cool, but, it really doesn't do shit for you in the happiness department. Causes more stress than I ever imagined... And, no matter how big that paycheck, it doesn't compare to a warm inviting kiss and a lovely smile. peace, meIt's a gas, gas, gas...
