When i first read your reply i was sure you where joking, but i keept thinking of it at work. Are you saying i should have minirisers because its easier to just attach the canopy to a different rig? Well, if its your goal to hook it up to different rigs, you can hook minis up to large or small rings, but you can only hook up the full size risers to the larger rings."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message
Hellis 0 #28 January 24, 2011 Thats what i think Robin was thinking of. But i dont know if i will need it. Most (all) student rigs around here have large rings, and thats the only other rig i can think of that i would need to hook it up to. If i would have two BASE rigs with different size rings i could see the use. If i have read my homework correct, the minirisers are weaker than full size risers but still strong enough to take a slider off. I cant see any reason to buy the minirisers at this point, but when/if i buy a new rig with minirisers i can see a use for them. Or am i missing something? skyjumpenfool 2 #30 January 24, 2011 Are you worried about that long closing loop burning the canopy? Food for thought.Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

From what I am making out your "problem" is that you don't know that using mini ring-ed risers with large ringed harness is completely acceptable. your writing suggests that you think that mini-rings are only available on mini risers, which is not true. No i do understand that i can use minirisers on both "minirigs" and normal sized. But since i have only seen one rig (the one i sold last year) that is made for canopys 200+ sqf with minirisers, i dont see a reason to have minirisers. All rigs in the area that i can squeeze down the canopy in has large rings.
Hellis 0 #33 January 24, 2011 QuoteAre you worried about that long closing loop burning the canopy? Food for thought. Yes i did think about that. And i had a plan for it, to cut of a piece of a old bed sheet and place that ontop of the canopy. Like the ones some CRW canopys have, but a homemade one.
