meltdown 0 #2 January 9, 2004 Hey dude why don't you just get on the next flight going anywhere and jump out at 35k?
DJL 235 #3 January 9, 2004 If you're in Florida, why just Deland? The Fla DZ's where I've jumped are Zhills and Lake Wales. Both are great, Zhills fits my personal flavor better."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
Rdutch 0 #4 January 9, 2004 Deland is kicking ass right now, and the weather is pretty good also. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
skybytch 273 #5 January 9, 2004 I'd have to give Perris a slight edge now cuz they have the tunnel on the dz. But, Deland is pretty from the air and Perris is... err... not so pretty from the air. Either one... you'll have fun!

Having lived in Daytona for 5 years I can say that the end of January, beginning of February is a time where it is common to have low clouds and drizzley days. Having spent two winters in California I can say that the end of January, beginning of February is a time where it is common to have low clouds and drizzley days. Heck, just toss a coin and go. DJL 235 #11 January 9, 2004 Well, emergency doors won't open in flight anyway, right?"I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Clownburner 0 #13 January 9, 2004 QuoteWell, emergency doors won't open in flight anyway, right? Something about air pressure and the doors opening inward. Besides, I don't think a side-exit in front of a jet intake at 500mph is a survivable way to leave the plane. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth

He could catch Deland, Z-hills, Lake Wales, Space Center, Sebastian and the tunnel all within 2 hours here. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

diverdriver 5 #17 January 9, 2004 QuoteWell, emergency doors won't open in flight anyway, right? No....but even just mocking that you are going to open it will get you arrested when you arrive. Thought you (and others) might like to know that. Yes, I have had 2 people arrested off of my plane. No, it wasn't for going to an emergency exit inflight.Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125

diverdriver 5 #19 January 9, 2004 QuoteI am not that big of a Jack Ass! LOL....didn't say you were...but I get that all the time from jumpers on how'd they like to mess with the psych of other passengers and crew. I actually was jumpseating one time and was asked if I had friends in the back. I had to say yes that I knew there were some skydiver friends on board. They said one was claiming to be with the NTSB and was going to write up a flight attendant. They were not too happy and I begged the CA to not have him arrested. This was before 9/11. I don't think any pleading would have helped if this happened after 9/11.
skyyhi 0 #20 January 9, 2004 Okay, IMHO you definitely should fly into Ontario airport, catch a taxi to Perris and join in on the fun at the Jack, off to Perris boogie. . .that way you could jump at Perris and Elsinore on the same day. . .course it starts this weekend and ends next weekend so you better hurry. . .________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy
