Dagny 0 #1 January 7, 2004 It's true. I have photographic evidence of the meeting of the two Kramers. I'll leave it to you to determine the imposter! And to everyone from Zhills this New Years...wow! I believe this was the best start to a year I have ever had. Such a beautiful area, such a fun atmosphere, such good company, and an amazing jump on the sunset load on the first day of this new year. What more could one girl ask for? Every time I get to zhills, I love it more! I've added a few more pics that I took over the week...Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
Dagny 0 #2 January 7, 2004 A few more pics...this time of 800ft static line jumps on rounds. I called the guys freaks, but I liked the phrase "lawn darts" better. Much more accurate, I think!Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

DaMan 0 #10 January 7, 2004 Nice pics - I was on the next load so I didn't get to see the "sacks of potatoes" being dropped! It's always great entertainment - last time there were 2...well, less than perfect spots in the high wind. Funny, I never knew round parachutes could go UP in altitude that way!Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility. jmpnkramer 0 #11 January 7, 2004 Those Windthingies are actually called "Wind Drist Indicators" Silly Girl. Quotebut I liked the phrase "lawn darts" better. Much more accurate, I think! So much to learn yet. "Lawn Darts" are what RW flyers call the FF. Are we going to have to get you a dictionary? Those static line jumps are not that bad. I have several. My lowest is from 600'. To date that is. Those jumps also included over 100LBS of equipment. Keep in mind that the whole chute system ways somewhere in the 69LB range. All of that is more than I weigh. I will be making one this weekend. Laters, The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" marcandalysse 0 #14 January 7, 2004 NO doubt about it, there is only one KRRAMERRR! The imposter doesn't look anything like Kramer! happythoughts 0 #15 January 7, 2004 The static line guys are members of the Phantom Airborne brigade. A bunch of old army types who get together, do s/l jumps, and socialize. Rarely you will still hear people refer to a WDI (wind drift indicator) these days. They work ok unless the wind changes. A month ago, they put out the first 2 sticks and everything went ok. The winds picked up while the 3rd group was on jump run. One guy drifted a 1/2 a mile off. Nice pics. There can only be one Kramer

I think it was more than a half mile there Bill. You also forgot to mention that horendous thunderstorm they chose to jump in. happythoughts 0 #18 January 7, 2004 Isn't that the way that ariborne groups work? Get in the plane, get out, walk around for a while. Maybe it is a new part of the sport. Para-hiking. You just land as far out as you can and then hike back. Of course, we'd have to have a special section for CRW people.

sdgregory 0 #20 January 7, 2004 Well I hate to state the obvious but niether of them actually look like Kramer but since this is about which one looks MOST like Kramer well . . . Last I checked Kramer's hair was wrecked and dark. Without question jmpnkramer would have to be the winner here.

jmpnkramer 0 #22 January 7, 2004 Yeah you got me on the spelling. I am trying to do several things here to close the year for the Bankrupt company I work for. Thanks for the back-up there Bill. QuoteIsn't that the way that ariborne groups work? Get in the plane, get out, walk around for a while. Sure is the way of AIRBORNE just ask any qualified individual who has been there. Step 1: get all geared up with 70LBs of Parachute and at least 100lbs of equipment. Step 2: wait at least 7 hours before loading a plane. Step 3: Load the plane (and for all you who complain about being hot and crammed in a skydiving plane just have no idea!) Step 4: Fly around so the pilot can get some flight time. Step 5: Watch the weak stomach guys puke in bags and try not to smell it. Step 6: Stand up. Step 7: Do at least 4 Race Tracks (AKA: Go Arounds) With all that equipment trying not to fall while Hooked up. Step 8: Jump. Step 9: Gather parachute and equipment and goto rally point. Step 10: Land navigate back to starting point or predetermined destination. Step 11: Clean up and do it all over again. bch7773 0 #23 January 7, 2004 ahhh dagny... I sense somebody who has only jumped turbines... the "windthingys" are called "wind drift indicators"... aka "woodies". you use em in static line drops. then let you know where a round would land if the person under it never made a steering correction. they are also helpful to see how strong the winds are from 3k and below, which is useful to see where the spot is for student barges.
