GroundZero 0 #56 December 5, 2003 When I met her, she wasn't a skychick... she was sitting across from me on a DC-3, getting ready to be a skychick... and there I was hauling her big-ass boyfriend. She was terrified. Her Tandem instructor was falling asleep. Her boyfriend wouldn't shut-up... kept telling me he wasn't skeer'd... (We all know what that means.) I sat there feeling for and falling in love with this beautiful creature, (while trying to entertain my tandem student...) We got to altitude too soon, we all jumped, she hated the experience, her boyfriend loved it... (I made sure he would, he had to come back...with her!) He completed AFF, became a very good skydiver and a very good friend. Since that time, she made a second jump, hated it even more. Broke up with the boyfriend and married me. We celebrated our daughter's first birthday 2 days ago. She makes me happier than I've ever been. I love you Kristi! Very recently, she commented that she could see how I love skydiving and asked if I would take her for a Tandem, (I have never asked her if she wanted to try it again.) We had a great skydive, and as soon as she landed, her first words were, "The next one is gonna be nekkid!" Wow, we met almost 5 years ago... seems like yesterday.
