Blue skies scotty.....

Recommended Posts

Scotty's death was such a tragedy and left horrendous scars on the ones that were there to witness. Blue skies, my friend. I will miss your smiles, up-to-no-good laugh, beautiful blonde hair, and calming demeanor.

On another note, another of our beloved skydiving family members, Joe Robertson of Shreveport, died in his sleep New Year's Eve of a non-skydiving related illness. I will miss his powerfullness, his love for all people and his amazing humor. Blue skies, Joe, I miss you so much.

This picture of Scotty (beautiful straight blonde hair) and our friends, Chuck and Ricky Paul was taken a week before the accident. He will be missed.

Edited to say: Sorry picture was too big to upload. Damn.

Well in the end my friend we will all be together again...

Blue skies, black death. Condolences to everyone involved.

Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.

For those of you who had the opportunity to know Scotty you can consider yourselves very lucky. Scotty was just an all-around good, free-spirited, and loving guy. Gold Coast Skydivers has lost a wonderful freeflyer, friend, and brother. We miss you and your beautiful smile Scotty and look forward to flying with you again one day. Until then my friend....

Bluest of skies,

Just a few weeks ago we were sitting on the couch at gold coast waiting for the clouds to clear huddled up in a pile trying to stay warm because it was 45 degrees out with about 20 mph wind and Scotty came up to us with such a happy face I will never forget and a smile so big. He stared at us a second and laughed and asked if we wanted to see a skydiving video. So he opened up the cabinet that the t.v. is in pushed play and said this is a "good one" and walked away that was the last time i saw him. What a wonderful way to remember such a good guy.

The picture thats stuck in my mind was Scotty waving hello to me as I arrived at WFFC this year. I had just gotten thru registration and was driving my big blue Kenworth thru the vendor area, alot of people know my truck and it sure as heck stands out in the crowd, so I'm kinda of doing parade waves and theres Scotty with a small contingent from Goldcoast in tent city waving hello.

Blueskies Scotty:)

The funeral today was nice and at the graveside his friends had arranged flyovers by local pilots/friends... They were great! Bi-planes at treetop wagging their wings and the sounds drowning out the service as all the jumpers waved and hooted. Nice...

Blueskies Scotty.... Blueskies

It was good to see you again, Chile, but I hated that it was under these circumstances.

One of the best quotes from Scotty that really summed up how great of a life he led was when someone walked into his camper one night where a bunch of folks were gathered and said, "Hey looks like a party. How long has this been going on?" Scotty quietly replied, "Oh, about 30 years." Gotta love him.:)

Blue skies Scotty!

I'd just like to take a moment to offer my respect for Scotty. I would just like to say that of the few times that I've met him He treated me like a friend and a bro.
I would just like to say then Blue skies brother and my condolences to all the Gold Coast Friends and family.
Peace Love
