selbbub78 0 #4 January 5, 2004 0:0:0 No fair, no jumps, hate the NE weather sometimes................. still had fun hanging out at our dz though"Women fake orgasms - men fake whole relationships" – Sharon Stone "The world is my dropzone" (wise crewdog quote) "The light dims, until full darkness pierces into the world."-KDM
FLsurfer 0 #5 January 5, 2004 0(been stuck at this # too long):6:0 The last jump yesterday was a blast. The dzo and I did some Stiletto CRW. Went into a downplane at 3 grand and held it 'til about 1 grand right over the top of the dz. I love the speed of downplanes! Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes. Nightingale 0 #6 January 5, 2004 sigh... 0:0:0 no skydives. no sex. but I did get to ride a snowmobile for the first time! that was really cool! Even if we did flip it over twice and I hit my head and on the back of the seat during a REALLY bumpy part and fell off! (hey, it was -13 degrees and in near white-out weather! my hands were frozen... holding on was getting a wee bit difficult at this point). Wasn't as bad as my folks did, though. My parents ran the snowmobile off the side of the trail and down about 20 feet! oopsie.
HeatherB 0 #7 January 5, 2004 Sorry I didn't meet you, Kelly! 15 jumps or so for me for the week. And some tunnel time too. Had a very nice week with Bo. Back to reality tomorrow!
ChasingBlueSky 0 #8 January 5, 2004 24 (hours it took to drive 1,143 miles home thanks to a nasty snow storm), 0 weather holds during the boogie, 80F the entire trip:5jumps this weekend:0 Well, since I spent all day Sunday driving from Zhills to the arctic north (aka Chicago), I was only able to fit in 5 jumps this weekend. I spent a few hours going about 5mph on very icy roads in Indiana. Looks like I missed a few DZ.com folk while I was at Zhills. It was an amazing Holiday boogie!!!!_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... Jarcie 0 #9 January 5, 2004 0:5:2 I graduated from AFF!! 5 jumps: AFF levels 5, 6, & 7, then two solos. 2 cases of beer owed for two days of firsts: * graduation * first solo * first time jumping from 18K * first kiss pass * first fruit loop * first time getting hymned (what was that?) And last time... thanking the pilot for extra altitude in front of the DZO. Yep, I have a lot to learn! All in all, a great weekend! Each day I did two 10k and one 3k, from a 182. Add in my slow packing and that's a full day - no time for food, even. Temperature was about -20 C at 10k, give or take. Only a bit of snow in the distance; landing area is rock-hard dirt / grass. Gorgeous view first 10k jump today - the air was so clear it was like I was walking on the ground at 2k. So far for the year, I have 1.5 skydives per day. [:D] -=-=-=-=- Pull.
 jceman 1 #16 January 5, 2004 Quote3;0;3. [:D] You're an "Old Hand" so you should know the routine by now -- the format is humps:jumps:beer -- going by that, you got laid three times, did no jumps, and owe three cases of beer. Interesting. BTW, the first number may contain a substitute for humps if you are bashful, need secrecy, or just plain want to have something else there -- just need to have an explanation, as the default is "humps". All that being said, my numbers for the weekend are Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
