AggieDave 6 #2 December 31, 2003 Supposedly, if you're in SoCal and have a good scanner you can put it to 271.0 (AM mode) and listen to some of the stuff going on. All I've seen so far is that it's Air France flight 68, due at LAX at 1715 local... Probably just a broken whizbang on the plane making everyone freak out on the ground.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." McDuck 0 #3 December 31, 2003 What did you find out about this? I'm stuck at work with nothing but the Internet and laziness, so I can't figure anything out. It has nothing to do with: QuoteSince 9/11, NORAD has scrambled fighters or diverted air patrols more than 1,600 times to respond to possible air threats, and have combined with Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWAC) and air-to-air refueling tankers to fly more than 32,000 sorties. Michele 1 #5 December 31, 2003 I didn't see anything about the "intercepted flight", so have no idea. However, the FBI is investigating a dead guy who stowed away in the wheel well of a flight from Heathrow and it landed in one of the NY area airports....doubt it's terrorist related, though. Dave, if you hear of anything else, please post. This is an interesting time we are living in - suspicious of planes, trains, automobiles, and almanacs...and the only defense we have is duct tape and plastic sheeting.
