Dagny 0 #1 December 26, 2003 It is late and sleep eludes me. Is there anyone else out there tonight? Been sitting here, curled up by the computer, listening to downloaded music, enjoying the soft candlelight, warm and comfortable...but wide awake. Sitting here in the dark, I start thinking about this past year. Then the upcoming year, 2004 already. What have I accomplished, what do I want for myself? Anyone else considering these things? My resolutions for the next year...read, smile, laugh, love, and learn. Conquer my fears, vanquish my insecurities, appreciate each moment for what it is. Stay focused and clear. Be confident, be strong, be wild, be unpredictable, be reliable. And my goals...survive school while staying motivated and dedicated. Reach a personal goal in running. Continue biking and push my limits. Skydive as much as money and the weather allow. Open my heart to possibility. Achieve something new. Take chances. Feeling introspective tonight. It's so quiet...tell me, what are your resolutions and goals for this new year?Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

dropdeded 0 #4 December 26, 2003 Hell, why not. My whole life is gonna change(again) this coming year. Dealing with a pretty much failed marriage right now so once I finish school, theres not a whole lot keeping me here in Bakersfield. Not sure if I should try to get some experience here in EMS or just take this show on the road. hmm, not quite ready to make that decision yet. Its gonna be an interesting year. dropdeded------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

Zenister 0 #6 December 26, 2003 lots..of course the day sun still shines on this side of the world.. 2004 and 33 (a very important number ) and i'm realizing more and more that the path i've been following isnt really making me very happy, even as i'm offered a longer term apon it.. so the question becomes how long do i wait to jump? another lap around the sun? financially it would be best, would set me up rather well to cutaway and seek brighter things else where, more in charge of my own fate..and yet i'm not sure if i want to trade away another year while i wait...to many choices...and the important ones depend more on others than myself..far to easy to continue on if this is the path i'm walking alone...far to easy to cutaway now if she'd just but speak the word and ask...what do i want? the eternal sine, up and down again.. different paths to chose as two can walk where one cannot survive alone.. if you perceive a possible future does your actions or inactions give you the best chance to seize it? the fine line between trying to hard and not trying at all... rambling again..to much time to think in this land of softplaces and few distractions, but also time to focus on myself, my health (or at least my fitness level that had waned in the past 2 years) and the road ahead... my resolution? stop thinking so much.. embrace the void. no intention except to be reaching out to embrace the random reaching out to embrace whatever may come....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. RevJim 0 #8 December 26, 2003 I'm pretty much burned out right now (4 kids and Christmas will do that to ya), so all I can come up with for New Years resolutions are as follows: 1. Stay off smokes. In 4 days it will be 6 months smoke free, and I feel great! 2. Meet Dagny face to face and lick the top of my nose. 3. Hold flyangel2 to that home cooked meal offer, and get more information on the sugar mama/boy toy comment. It's your life, live it! McDuck 0 #10 December 26, 2003 Life is one continuous learning process. I'm just going to keep doing whatever it is that I do. It certainly makes for some interesting introspection about the life I've led so far. As long as I'm learning, I'm living. So I suppose I'll just resolve to live. Lee03 0 #11 December 26, 2003 Sounds like you got a pretty good set of goals there. Good luck -------- To put your life in danger from time to time ... breeds a saneness in dealing with day-to-day trivialities. --Nevil Shute, Slide Rule
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #12 December 26, 2003 Hey, chick! Hope you got some sleep:) Those are some awesome goals you've got there. I hadn't really given it much thought, but here goes: 1)keep gpa up, and transfer to a university next year. 2) Get 'c' license and keep on pursuing my goals in skydiving. 3) pay off credit card debt. It's a huge goal, but it is realistic if I stop being so frivelous. I may have make a few less jumps:( 4) Just keep learning, keep living, and stay happy and warm here in sunny fla! :) Angela.
