sdgregory 0 #1 December 24, 2003 Well I do not know if any of you know but we have a copycat sniper hear in Columbus, Ohio. Since about last May someone has been shooting cars driving down the highway. Until last night it was localized to the South Outer loop. Now they are on the move. Last night the newest victim was my next door neighbor and it happened less than two blocks from here. Now I am worried for my wife and kids. They seem to only be shooting at cars , but they have killed one woman. There are 18 confirmed shootings from the same weapon. I love guns and I believe in my right to bear arms but this shit scares the bloody hell out of me. I am not worried for me except that I would not survive the loss of my wife or kids. PhreeZone 20 #2 December 24, 2003 He's hit all around me. I'm on the east outer loop and its weird hearing of all the shootings. I drive through the shooting zone on my way to the DZ every weekend and to visit a friend on the south side. Needless to say its kinda unnerving seeing things like the road closed for investigation only a day after I drove it. I actually did a look over once on the car for a bullet hole when I heard a bang in the car. It was a stone I kicked up.. but at the time I had no freaking idea what made the bang. It'll be nice to get the shooter caught. I think the cold weather would keep him inside right now... but nooooo... When the shootings went from just shooting out windows and body damage to killing someone it was running every 10 minutes or so on CNN. (CNN is the only thing we have in the Cafe at work) A quick search of Foxnews.com shows their last update to the story being December 5th. What freaked me out was that I took 70 East to Lancaster but drove the Outer Loop going home. I live off 70 and 270 on the West Side. I had been driving that lood every day for Months and only found out about the shootings when the old woman got killed.. I have not driven the south outer loop but once since then and that was because I had no choice. I also thought the cold might send him home.
