They are writing English. You're writing American.

yeah, what he said, stop murdering the Queen's English, please.... :P

I can't decide what puzzles me more, what the Americans do to English or what the Canadians do to it, eh?

Like people who think that a pylon is a traffic cone....

WTF?

Its to hard to follow you're rules. Their more than I can handle. :P And besides, I could care less. ;)

Nice, very nice.

But since you said it, what do folks think of this one?

Is it "I could care less" or "I couldn't care less"? I've heard both, but the latter sounds right to me, meaning the person speaking cares so little, he / she could not possibly care any less.

?????

...and people putting apostrophes on a plural.

[scratching head] Wut means that? [\scratching head]

I put an apostrophe on a plural noun.. possessive-like.

Ex:

The bike belonging to the skydiver would be "The skydivers bike" but
The Bike belonging to the skydivers would be "The skydivers' bike"

Is that it?

Spot on. Whomever uses the "I could care less" is telling you that it's possible to diminish how much they care.

They're the ones that said "eminemopeee" when they got to L, M, N, O, P... whilst signing the alphabet as children. :D

It's supposed to be "I couldn't care less".

Last post! I'm off for the weekend.
Have a great, safe one everyone!

Hmmm. People get that one wrong all the time too. I think what was meant was that many folks often use apostrophes to pluralize nouns (e.g. not one, but two radio's - WRONG!). BSR's - right. 3's - okay. Word's - WRONGO!

;)

Actually either is acceptable. "I could care less." is short for "I could care less, but it's not worth the effort, because I don't care."

My favorite grammar use is the quasi-possessive (an apostrophe in place of the word "of"). Everyone questions it, but the usage below is correct.

Usage - I have 4 years' experience.

So, do you know the difference?

Let’s all just except the fact that all you’re friends don’t know proper grammar and the effect it has on those of us who do know how to use are language correctly. Do you all see what I’m eluding too? ;)

Oh, that was painful. :D:D

Of course, of course!! There were actually 5 intentional errors in my little post... that's what I meant by it being painful! :D. Just a little English grammar humor... except, you're, are, effect, and eluding... were all misused to be, dare I say, "humerus"? ;)... maybe it wasn't so much so... :P
