Autocarpet cleaning question

Sort of tied into the woodchipper question.

Basically, I'm having trouble getting blood out of the carpet in the truck. We've tried just about everything, but haven't gotten clean so far.

Quick answers are much appreciated.

If you really want to get it all out your going to have to lift the carpet up from the floor board and also clean the material under the carpet as the blood more than likely has been absorbed by it and will eventually start to smell even if the carpet looks clean from the outside. The sooner you clean it the better as the stain/odor has less time to set. If any other body fluids beside blood were involved you need to move quickly as it requires professional cleaning to completely remove the odor.

Okay, that took me about five minutes to figure out why you posted a link to a razor blade advertisement. Really, I'm not normally a blond.

Dave, Lou is right, you'll have to take the carpet out, since there is a pad under the carpet. Go to your local car wash, and hang the carpet and give it a good wash down with the high power hose. You can also us that Oxi-clean stuff. It deals with lots of the problem stains.
