skybytch 273 #2 December 14, 2003 Stop going to porn sites? Get the Google toolbar - it has a "popup stopper" that works great.

Jimbo 0 #5 December 14, 2003 I second the recommendation for http://www.panicware.com/ I've got Pop-Up Stopper Pro and it works perfectly. Absolutely perfect. I haven't tried them, but http://download.cnet.com/ has quite a few pop up stoppers for download, as well. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. ernokaikkonen 0 #7 December 14, 2003 Get Opera. It has a built in pop-up stopper. So does Mozilla.
gulaz 1 #8 December 14, 2003 I use Proxomitron. Works great, however, this is the final version of the software, and there will no longer be updates. Its great, it kills everything, with lots of options... even gets rid of ads on webpages, which is super! (see screenshots). Stops popups, ads, geocities ads, background music if you want it to, etc. If there is a specific graphic intensive webpage that loads really slow, you can make it block all images, etc. Its really smart about filtering webpages, but occasionally makes mistakes, but it runs in the taskbar, and you can just click 'bypass' to bypass it.
