NoShitThereIWas 0 #1 December 8, 2003 So it seems like forever that I just took the day off to sit back and be a couch potato. I napped and watched TV most of the day (well after a hard day of skydiving yesterday ...) But there is a Family Ties marathon on TVLand channel. I guess they play all of the old 80s shows I grew up with and I forgot how much I used to enjoy some of them. So I thought it would be a fun thread to ask all of you which one was your favorite(s)? Me, personally, I would have to say Family Ties. I just loved all the characters.Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say." Sheenster303 0 #6 December 8, 2003 Let's see........it's hard to pick just one. I loved Charles in Charge, Growing Pains (sorta 90s too but whatever), Facts of Life, Mr. Belvedere (), Family Ties......plus lots more I just can't think of right now. I remember being home sick from school and watching them on reruns. I don't remember them when they first came out at all. I was born in 84 so too young I guess.I'm so funny I crack my head open! ltdiver 3 #9 December 8, 2003 Interesting you should ask. I just sat down last night and re-watched my favorite episodes of Cheers. The last 2 weeks of the series they broadcast all the highest rated episodes and I copied them on tape for future viewing. I'd forgotten the exact end to the final episode...pretty nice writing. DeNReN 0 #15 December 8, 2003 Magnum P.I......still love the reruns....watched all the shows listed above...loved most of them...though most dont have the apeal they once held. Did anyone see the pilot for a show called Steel collar man??....it was so bad it was hysterical...but I have never found anyone else who saw it. jumpinfarmer 0 #17 December 8, 2003 When I was a kid we always looked forward to Friday night and The Dukes of Hazzard. That show was and still is the best. It's to bad there couldn't be another show like that today, but with all the political correctness I don't think they would let it happen. I guess I'm just a simple minded hick and thats why the Dukes were so great.
