Why are they so slow? they're 3 monthes late...

It took till the October issue to have my ratings in the back, even though I got my Coach rating in April and my Tandem in June. *shrug* They just take a long while to get stuff out there.

Ya - my D license just got posted in this month's issue - I think I got that about 3 months ago.

Edit - just checked, my D was submitted August 25th, and printed in the December issue. I know they had a LOT of applicants for the D before the new rules went into effect.

Let's see - I see hookitt on page 20, and B^2 on page 103. Quade gets points for photographs on pages 35 and 43, and Kevin922 wrote the wingsuit article on page 50. Who else? :)

manbird also wrote the article on p 50, but I don't know if he considers himself a dz.comer anymore...

I still haven't received my Parachutist this month! Most of the folks quoted were dz.commers, too, and I think a whole lot of the photos that Joel Keisel took and got published were of them, as well....when I get the mag, I'lll "out" them!!!

Kev, I look forward to reading your article!!! How cool!!!!

My Diamond wings are in this one. Or is Nov (then I don't have my Dec yet). It's the one with the two freeflying women on the cover - nice shot.

diablopilot "reported" on the new hook knife from Square One (don't remember which page it's on).

It may be "better" plastic, but I'll stick with my aluminum ones from Square One. Never had to use it, and I hope I never do.

Cora and I are in the rising fallers under A license holders. Four months late, but better late than even later. :P

Well, I won't be replacing my 4" metal knife from Sq1 either. Those are the shit... but the new 4" plastic ones are a whole lot cheaper ($7 including pouch and lanyard compared to $20 for just the knife).

And they're damn near unbreakable! I had a guy with some serious upper body strength attempt to break one a few weeks ago and all he managed to do was bend it a bit. Way better than the cheapie orange plastic ones.

Tee hee, the mailman brought my copy today.

This was a really fun article to write, but also challenging. It came out all right, though!

Dotcommers who were interviewed:
~DivaSkyChick (Mandy Hampton)
~Allijr (Allison Richards)
~Kolla (Kolla Kolbeinsdottir)
~CurtisMelaniej (Melanie Cutis)
~wmw999 (Wendy Wilkinson)
~Giakrembs (Gia Merrill)
~IceMaker (Selena Gordon)
(BTW, I was the low-number jumper who funnelled the formation that Selena talks about...:$)

Linda Roberts, a friend of mine who did her first tandem at the boogie, also got a photo as well as a quote in it.

Some of the dzcommer guys who were in the photos are Cajones (Ed Dickinson, with Linda Roberts as her TM...photo by Lewmonst), Shark (raft dive, I think), SonnyChiba (Leon Tosen - where's the pink helmet, buddy???), Alli, Laurel and me in the group shot (I think there are more, but I'm not sure).

Kevin, I have to run to the office, but I will read your article there...this was a seriously DZ.com dominated mag. Hee hee!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sangiro, we aretaking over the world!!B|
