Tolerance of HP canopy measurements

Recommended Posts

I have a small crossbraced canopy that I'm measuring to find out why it's turning to the left. It's a second/third hand canopy and I don't know the history other than I'm sure it's been wet. Taking measurements of the bottom skin seams from tail to nose, one sides seams tend to be about 1cm longer. Anybody know if 1cm/10mm of difference could be causing the turn? Anyone with experience in measuring canopies and know the tolerances?

I recall talking to a rigger friend who said that the line length tolerances on a velocity from the factory were less than a few millimeters. I suspect that a 1CM difference could fuck things up.
