It appears so.
Have you read this last week's Time Magazine? It suggests that this Administration has polarized the American populace more than any ever has, or so they say. I mean, Lincoln had some splits there too.

Quite often - my son is a sergeant in the US Army.
Unfortunately it is the military that bears the brunt of the politicians' screw-ups.

Do you guys ever question anything??? I just can't understand how people who've at least heard about and hopefully read the numerous scandals/lies from politicians believe everything that one man says. Has anyone who's for the war in Iraq ever stepped back and thought, "Hmm...maybe we shouldn't have gone there?" (Sure, the same can be said about liberals...blah blah blah.)
Seriously, I am completely confused. They went there to find wmd. Are people really that easily brainwashed? Do people just not see that when we couldn't find them, that's when everything went to "Operation Iraqi Freedom"? Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems blatantly obvious that lies were told when the entire purpose of a war changed.
As far as it what he did being a class act, call me a cynic, but I believe it was an act of swaying voters.
I think I would've been a great hippie....

GW's visit, probably mostly political. I never saw anything on the news on how the troops felt - out of their mouths, so I can't say whether they really wanted him there or not and if it was a good thing. From the outside it appears to be a good thing but I'm not in Iraq living in those conditions, surrounded by people wanting to kill you.
That would have nothing to do with the Military or GWB, it would have everything to do with the most evil force in this country, the media.

Be real Rob. If you sell someone something I think that you can reasonably expect that they will use it, don't you?QuoteI have one word for those that trust any administration to be acting honorably when it invokes secrecy - GULLIBLE.
Sums things up nicely, I think.

I am sure you are proud of your son as you should be. He is doing a tough job for a country whose citizens have never had to want for a thing. They get pissed at some politician and comdem the system. When you see your son, give him a hug for me and let him know there are some of us that love him for what he does for us.

It's a shame that people have opinions that don't match up with yours?

Paul,
Since I retired I quit reading Time, Newsweek and the paper most of the time. I have learned that I am not going to change the way things are and at my age I don't need the grief, I want to play.

Clinton's government?
The gas attack on the Kurds was in 1988. The Iran - Iraq war was in 1980 - 1988 when gas was used by Iraq and the US actively supported Iraq.
