Metallica fans, help me

Recommended Posts

I hear this metallica song all the time on the radio, but of course they announce its title before they play it, and so i don't pay attention.
I believe it is a cover maybe, and its kinda fast paced. (as in not like "unforgiven")

the chorus starts off each time with a guitar going "daaaa danananana na naa, daaaa danananana na naaa"

of course I can't remember the words in the rest of the song, but I do remember a few phrases.

"Here I am in prison!"
"I say 'Ray ma da du da daa'"

arrrgghhh its driving me nuts. does anybody know the name of this song, or even what cd its from?

MB 3528, RB 1182

That song is a wee bit older than that - it's an Irish Folk song. But Metallica was inspired by the Lizzy version.

I saw Metallica play it in concert (Aragon Ball Room) before they released that CD....I think I was the only one in the room that knew the song and the lyrics. Most everyone else was bored.

....As I was looking over, the Cork and Kerry mountains.... (I had to see the mountains because of that song)

YEP THEY ARE SELLOUTS! SELLOUT EVERY SHOW! Amazing how people think that "Rock Stars" should stay 17 and play teenage angst music for their entire life. Get a Life!

There are metallica action figures. No kidding, action figures. Why is there so much merchandise for bands like this? To make money. For Metallica it's not about the music anymore, it's about the money. They have helped cheapen my favourite art form. Theres nothing wrong with getting rich from making music. There is something wrong with making music so you can get rich. End of rant.

that sound you hear in the back ground on the last 3 Popicca albums (since there is no metal left in it) is Cliff Burton spinning in his grave...>:(

they certainly top the lame list....and havent been able to write an original tune since Justice...:|

Yeah, but 99.9999999% of them give up. Unfortunately some of them make it, or are inserted directly into the industry via the much loved "manufacturing" process. The true artists are pushed aside for something that record companies can sell quickly, and discard when they need to.
