It may not be the caffeine, but you need the "time" to get awake and caffeine does that faster. I am not a morning person, so leave me alone! It's not the caffeine, for me anyway, it's the quiet time I require to "wake up". Of course, I realize some people need caffeine. I slowly 'weaned' myself off of caffeine years ago, but I don't think caffeine really affects me.
