RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 November 21, 2003 Just to put life into perspective.... I work with patients on a daily basis with multiple sclerosis. This disease, as many, has no cure. These people were just like you and me yesterday..and the neurologist told them today that their life just changed. This may be why we live our life the way we do, as if there's no tomorrow! What if, just what if, you had a heads up that you would have this diagnosis?..what would you do different with your life? You know we all could have this prospective... If not...It's time to be greatful of what you have in your life, what you bring to others, and how you live your life...it's all about TODAY! I challenge each of you to think about where you are and where you want to be..and what you would do differently... I know that I'll never complain about a headache ever again! _________________________________________

jtval 0 #3 November 21, 2003 Life is going to happen with or with out you! My theory is FUCK IT ALL AND NO REGRETS! enjoy what you have.... Fitting lyric I heard in a song.... " i saw a wall fall down and crush the old. so now everybody's hungry but they'd rather be cold!" you can choose your health. its a fickle thing, there are people who diet and exercise and still some fukt up disease creeps into their temple and spray paints the walls. life happens! it's what you decide to do with it, thats important. lets say you get a diagnosis- positive for whatever ailment we wanna pick! there are people who use that for and excuse and there are others who use it for a reason. the excuse to lay down and give up Or the reason to stand up and fight. its not what path you have chosen that is important but which one you will choose which makes the difference! (cue the rocky theme music) if life has gotten you down then GET BACK UP! if things havent gone your way then GRAB THE WHEEL AND STEER IT TO WHERE YOU WANNA GO. If the doctor says youve got two days left to live. PROVE HIM WRONG! If they tell you youll die tomorrow LEAVE A LEGACY FOR ETERNITY! If the DR. tell you youll live in pain.. show yourself what true strength is and fight back.... ITS ALL ABOUT THE ATTITUDE I live my life like everyday is the last b/c it may be. but I dont lay down and wait for the sun to set. I get the fuck up and Show those people WTF they are missing!!!! Think Im lying? check out my website! My photos My Videos

You know, there are people here on this board, jumpers mind you, with MS. How do you think it makes them feel to read that? A diagnosis of MS is not an automatic life sentence. JT, thanks for your words, they are so true! There are many people with MS who go on living very productive and happy lives for many, many years. Some of them never develop the debilitating symptoms. Some do, and choose to continue to live their lives anyway. Sorry, but I've known several people with MS, and I just don't think that they would be better off dead. There are far worse things that could happen to all of us! I'm walking a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Click Here for more information! MS can, on occasion, be beaten. My uncle, 15 or 20 years ago (I was young, and can't remember exactly), was diagnosed with MS. Over the course of about a year, his condition worsened. Toward the end of that year he was spending about half of his days in a wheelchair, and there just wasn't enough strength in his legs to go all day. Then something hapened. Nobody, not even the doctors knows what. One morning he got up and told my Aunt he felt better. He really did. Within a week he wasn't using the wheelchair anymore, and was back into full swing at work (foundry) within a month. Remission is a good thing, even if there is no reason for it.It's your life, live it! jtval 0 #6 November 21, 2003 was he NEO? LOL. Just being stupid, Rev. good to hear a good story! there are people out there that would just give up an accept that they are "Supposed to" live in pain and/ or die. then there are those who say "fuck it, anyway" and have a good time with the days they have. learn to smile today; tomorrow may not be here!My photos My Videos

I see patients daily that have MS and you'd never know it! They INSPIRE ME with their positive outlook on life and courage. MS is managable thru treatment. And, MS patients lifespan is the same as those who don't have MS. I apologize if I've offended anyone..that wasn't my intent of the post. It was more to put things into perspective. _________________________________________
