Audibles and a Mac

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out which audible altimeter to buy and I have a Mac computer. Pro track works only with PC but it can be used with Paralog, but I would still have to buy the Jumptrack software just to get the cable right? Is the Neptune the same way? I know there has to be other Mac users out there. What do you suggest?

You could get the protrack cable and interface by itself, just call them and work it out.

N3 + OSX + Paralog = :)
updating firmware requires windows however. see if you can find an AFS at your DZ, or find a copy of windows and use bootcamp on your mac for the occasional flash.

If you want to use a pro track you can use paralog and buy just the cable here:

Keep in mind the protrack connector is RS-232 (also known by the, now ambiguous, name "serial") so you'll need a USB to RS-232 adapter to use it with your Mac.

They sell one on Chutingstar but it's 30 bucks which is kinda steep. You can probably find one on Amazon for 5-10 bucks. (and make another jump :)
