diablopilot 2 #1 November 22, 2003 Cadbury's Roses. My roomate is English, and so is half my family. I may have mentioned at one point one of the things I miss from the UK is Cadbury's Roses chocolate candies. So he had his girlfriend bring over a box for me. I tell myself I can just have one as a treat prior to dinner. Doesn't work. Next thing I know I'm nearly passed out on the floor with wrapers all around me. They're so good! The only thing I've ever been addicted to was cigarettes. They were easy to give up compared to this. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

skymama 37 #13 November 22, 2003 I haven't had Cadbury's Roses, but I've had some malted milk balls from the UK that were to die for. I think they were called Maltese's, or something like that. The Swiss get all the glory for chocolate making, but the English don't do so bad themselves! Hmmm...I wonder what I could do to tempt Skreamer to bring me some to the Eloy boogie? She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
samhussey 0 #14 November 22, 2003 I had no idea you didn't get maltesers or roses over in the USA! You poor, poor people... You have my sympathy...

Shotgun 1 #16 November 22, 2003 Milka bars are what I made myself sick on while in England, but I had plenty of Cadbury stuff too (loved the Cadbury vending machines at all the train stops!) Somehow I missed the Cadbury Roses though...

Nightingale 0 #18 November 22, 2003 If you can't find Crunchie Bars, look for Violet Crumble. Its Aussie, but a lot easier to find in the states.
Shotgun 1 #19 November 24, 2003 Quotemilka?? thats more of a european thing.. i dont think i've ever seen it on sale here... Yep, I bought tons of it while staying in England one summer (but didn't manage to make it back to the US with much of it ). I can't remember where we bought it (this was almost 10 years ago), but I know it wasn't in the grocery stores or convenient stores - think it might have been from a candy shop or something like that. At the time it wasn't available in the US, but now you can buy it here.
