sssbc99 0 #1 November 19, 2003 I want to see who has the highest "rating" (i.e. Pooh-Bah, Addict, Enthusiast, etc...) with the lowest number of jumps. P.S. Not that it is bad, just interesting.

SkymonkeyONE 4 #9 November 19, 2003 QuoteRatio wise, I think I have Ivan beat. But I have a legitimate reason. Actually, Chris, you were post-whoring here long before you ever made your first skydive if I remember right. Ivan spends FAR too much time abusing his Multi-Pass to actually skydive. Still there are far better (worse?) examples. For some time there was a girl on here who had only one tandem who was definitely in the top 25 in the post numbers. I won't mention her name. I am all for them posting and enjoying in the fun that is DZ.com, but I don't know what they get out of the skydiving talk. I guess it's possible to have a serious interest in skydiving without actually wanting to do it yourself, or maybe without having the means to do it. And look at football - there are tons of people who like to talk about football who don't actually play it. Ok, I guess football's a little different, but I can see that skydiving could quite easily turn into a spectator sport as well (and I would think it would be way more interesting to watch than football! IMHO)...
 taln1rigr 0 #15 November 19, 2003 Agreed ... very good point. 3 tandems here & still haven't felt the need to pursue skydiving as a sport ... but as a job & for the people ... now there's a whole different story. Rigging/packing is what I love to do ... I love attention to detail ... I have a passion for things that fall from aircraft (not only people but cargo as well). I'd pack tandems all weekend long, every weekend, at Skydive Santa Barbara for the 6 mths I was there (0 mals & softest openings per the TMs) ... but only did 2 jumps right before I left (the last one was at night ). Also before I left, repacked 5 reserves with the DZ's Rigger & plan to pursue my own civilian ticket. So while my jump numbers will never skyrocket I'll definitely still post & read & learn here. Thanks for the opportunity
 Laurel 0 #16 November 19, 2003 QuoteQuoteI think it is interesting that there are posters here that have 0 jumps.
