skybytch 273 #1 November 21, 2003 Ever wonder why you bother taking time off work? I got back late last night from an impromptu road trip. Had a fantastic time hanging out with a good friend, then caravaned back to FL with another friend. I was in a great state of mind the whole week... relaxed, happy, smiling, enjoying warm company and hospitality (and cold beers. Lots of cold beers). And now I'm back at work/home. There's a pile of stuff that needs dealing with on my desk, emails that need replying to in my inbox... and there's no beer in the fridge. Yeah. The worst thing about vacations is going from being so relaxed you're walking on air to being stressed by piles of undone work... in the time it takes to walk through a doorway. Oh well. I'm still smilin', and I'll keep smilin', even as I wade through these piles of paperwork, cuz in the past week I burned some awesome memories into my brain. But when I come back to work, I'm so annoyed to be back to my stinkin job that I'm extra crabby for a week (not so bad with this job because it's like a perpetual vacation. buhahahahaha. not).
